Finding my footing

SOOO I'm here, living the dream! Well, at least MY dream. My apartment, my roommates, the neighborhood and work is ALL spectacular.

I'm living near Wall Street with three students at Pace University, which is just down the street. They are all super fun and theater-related majors, so we get along smashingly. In fact, when I was unpacking, I had my iTunes on, and one of the boys walked in and said, "You're going to fit in just fine here," as my show tunes blasted in the background. Needless to say, I felt at home from the start. Our building is surrounded by restaurants near the oldest street in Manhattan, so it smells like amazing food ALL the time. Pure. Torture.

When I arrived Monday, one of my roommates, Mick, took me around the neighborhood. I found my grocery store, subway station, running route...It was a very productive day. I even had my first Pinkberry, and I am now officially addicted!

Work is spectacular! I'm literally two blocks away from Central Park, which makes it an easily accessible lunching spot. Everyone I work with is super nice and helpful. I am the only intern at the moment, but I'm pretty used to that. I've started working for some projects for the Institute that involve a lot of writing, editing and social media networking, so it's all right up my alley! The hardest part is seeing all the School of American Ballet (SAB) dancers and Julliard students walking around. It makes me miss performing more than ever!

This weekend I'm headed to Central Park for a run, seeing "Next to Normal" and spending Sunday on Coney Island. I barely have time to breathe, but it's amazing. I am so blessed to be here and don't have a clue what I did to deserve such an experience, but I'm going to take advantage of it!

The goal is to update here once a week. Check my Facebook profile for more pictures.
Until next time...XoXo
