Summer break from blogging

I took a summer break from blogging. Hope it wasn't too obvious, and no one missed me too much. Now I'm back and ready to rock. Are you?!

What have I been doing this summer? Well, I've been consumed in a pretty serious relationship...with my job :) Marsh Symphony on the Prairie has consumed my life. Good thing I love every minute of it!

If you haven't been to SOTP, as the insider's call it (Don't you feel super awesome knowing that?!), you need to go. It's an 80-piece symphony orchestra playing in the middle of a field while you eat a picnic dinner and drink wine as the sun sets. Anything better? I don't think so! It all ends Labor Day weekend AKA you have a few more weeks. There's nothing else like it on Earth (or at least in the Midwest). Moral of the story: GET THERE!

Due to my summer consumption in my job, I haven't done much else. I moved into the Big Love house at the beginning of the summer (affectionately named so due to the 5 girls and 1 boy living in it). It's exciting to live with people as inspired to kick tail in life as much as I am! There's been a few issues with the house itself — We didn't get along at first — but we are working out our differences and learning to live with each other...literally. Yes, I can work out issues with an inanimate object. Thank you, 2 years of RA training!

What's next in life? Continuing my life as a working girl, of course, (I love, love, love my job! It's sick and twisted and I don't get how I can love my first big-person-pants job as much as I do, but I do. Don't hate. Congratulate!), and learning and growing as an adult! If you were looking for something more specific, I can't give you that right now. I'm trying this new thing in my life called living in the present. It's been a major adjustment, but my present life is so lovely right now, I can't focus too much on the future. Of course, I'm keeping my mind open, but it's all one, huge TBD right now. And, for the first time in my life, that's OK.

P.S. Liza freakin' Minnelli is coming to my work in October. I will be on Cloud Nine until then. Don't try to make me come down...
